JUST ANNOUNCED ~ MAMUSE WINNERS OF UK 2021 Song Competition for Entry "We Shall Be Known"
Dear ones,
This is an exciting moment! This past Summer we entered a handful of our favorite MaMuse songs (oh so hard to choose) into a handful of international song competitions. This past week we found out that we were finalists in the UK Song Competition; A 21 year old competition dedicated to the support and advancement of budding songwriters. On Sunday we found out that we won the Folk Category with our entry of “We Shall Be Known”. We were overjoyed, as this song is such an anthem for these times and deserves to have great wings upon which to fly across the pond and beyond. The Muses have been generous with us in this particular set of songs for this album. We have been inspired to pull through powerful anthems for freedom and justice, soul filled serenades of generosity and kindness, playful explorations of presence and wonder, heartfelt melodies of grief and tenderness, and my goodness!!! …. Rushing Rivers FULL of songs For the Love of Water! We collaborate with THRIVE choir and Lyla June and are supported by a masterful entourage of musicians. This is by far MaMuse's BEST album yet!
Deep Bow of Gratitude - "Prayers for Freedom" Album Crowdfunding Campaign Recap
Dear Ones,
Our campaign is close to a month in completion. As a community we raised $39,618 through the campaign and some money continued to trickle in in the days following our campaign which successfully helped us reach our goal of $40,000. We did this!!!! WOW! What a deep bow to each and every one of you who pledged, shared facebook posts, told your friends, prayed, and all the other ways, seen and unseen, that you showed up for us simply because we asked. So much gratitude! Thank you!
Our work too has just begun.. we still have names in the Sand to Soulfully scribe and photograph for you, Spontaneous Songs to Sing, Telegrams to deliver and House Concerts to present. In other words, you'll still be seeing quite a bit of us! All of these are in process and on their way.

Oh PEOPLE!!! Artwork submissions for our upcoming album PRAYERS FOR FREEDOM has been steadily flowing in like the much needed rain we've been receiving in these last two weeks. We are swimming happily in color and image! We are drinking in the realization that we are a CREATIVE, RESPONSIVE, COLORFUL, INSPIRED, and VITAL bunch of humans. We are rich in imagination! What important work to create beauty for one another to feast upon. THANK YOU to EACH and EVERY artist who dove in and poured their heart into these works.
We feel NOURISHED! We feel GRATEFUL! We are EXCITED!! We hope that all who have participated in this experiment feel FULFILLED!
